Reduced fears of a U.S. interest rate hike in September and Standard and Poor’s upgrade of Korea’s credit rating pushed the Korea Composite Stock Price Index up 1.96 percent on Wednesday.
The KOSPI closed up 37.89 points at 1,975.45, above the 1,970-point mark for the first time in around a month.
